Cu toate că studiul geotehnic se cere la ridicarea unei locuințe, arh. Oana Nastireanu ne-a spus că, potrivit reglementărilor, pentru casele din mediul rural cu parter și maximum un etaj nu există această obligație. Totuși, studiul este recomandabil, pentru ca proprietarul să-și proiecteze fundația pe baza unor informații certe, așa cum sunt ele la fața locului.
În plus, legea permite ca acest studiu să se poată face și după ce au fost depuse actele pentru eliberarea certificatului de urba-nism.
Ce este studiul geotehnic. Pentru cei care nu știu, studiul geotehnic este o documentație tehnică necesară pentru anali-zarea stratificației terenului, a adâncimii nivelului freatic, a adâncimii optime de fundare a construcției, a capacității portante a solului. Practic, acesta pune la dispoziția inginerului proiectant al structurii de rezistență toate datele care să-i permită să dimensioneze corect fundația casei.
